Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Where should I get My Passat Serviced?

    Hi All

I am looking for those of you who have had good (or bad) experiences with servicing in the Melbourne metro area for VW. My car has only done 3,000 klms but keen to organise where I should look to take the car. I bought the car from VW Sth Yarra but have heard negative things about them already.

    Any comments are most appreciated.

    Thanks

I've been doing research for my Golf lately due to 15000 klm service coming up. I know we have different cars ( you also have my next car). If you wish to stay with VW call Ferntree Gully VW. They are the cheapest around Melbourne. If not I'm taking my car to Volkspower. I trust them with my car. They know everything about VW andI trust them. You can also talk to the person that works on your car.

Burwin VW or Volkspower would be my recommendations. Dealer will always cost more though. Volkspower stamp your log book too.
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

Thank you all. Volkspower sounds like a good option. The issue is will VW give me grieve on any warranty claims if I don't service through them?
