  • NSW Cost of a new clutch??

    Hi Guys,

Just joined because I was quoted $1200 for a new clutch for my 2001 golf... Seems like a scary price but I have heard vws often cost more to repair. Can anyone tell me if I should shop around or just suck it up? I would have to pay for a tow from the mechanic to an alternate one as well.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Have a look on ECStuning or OEMPlus to see what they have.

Thanks team_V, ECS have the kits for around $700, so I suppose the question is now: is the $500 difference a justifiable labour expense?
and considering a tow is probably gonna be around 100 i spose its only a 400 difference... which is starting to sound like its the right price... should've bough an auto lol

Clutch is big job, I'd say that's about the right cost unless you diy.
