Just put down a deposit on a Skoda Superb - and now have to twiddle my thumbs for a few weeks for delivery (oh that I cared less which options my car came with...). As a previous owner of a Golf Mk V and now another VW brand, this looks like a nice place to keep up on what's up.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi team_v,
Another sandgroper here. Went with the 4x4 103tdi Elegance wagon - and had to get the panoramic roof, the kids are going to love it. Seemed like the best value for what we were after.
We were looking around at cars for a couple of months - it's hard to really find something that ticks all the boxes, you know?
And Skoda is a funny thing I suppose - obviously we're happy with it, did our research and whatnot, but I told a French friend we were buying one and she just about fell off her chair. Skoda's rep in decades past not being one to really inspire confidence

Skoda are becoming more nad more prominent here after people have grown to like hte VW brand and realise they aren't going anywhere.
The 4x4 TDI wagon is about as prctical a car as you can get.
Nicely done.
