  • After Market RVC for MY12.5 Passat Wagon

Hi, has anyone explored fitting an after market RVC to the new B7 Passat wagon? I have a MY12.5 with RNS510 with Park Assist 2. When I engage reverse the RNS unit displays an animated picture of the car with bars all around the car that indiciate objects. I was under the impression that my car was to have guidance lines but it did not.

Is there a reliable solution to have a RVC fitted so I can utlise the existing animated view as well as RVC view (split screen)? If so, I am in Melbourne so any recommended places would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks for that. Found some details also on a site from Motivauto & spoke with Shaun who convinced me that it can easily be done provided the coding is done correctly. They also tell me they do a lot of this as dealer fit for VW. Quoted $770. Bit steep but given I have no skills in this regard I am OK with the price.

Does anyone have any other recommendations as to who out there can fit RVS so there are no issues with the functionality of the rest of the RNS510 unit?

      HI MJW

Did you go ahead with this? How is it working as i am planning to install via motiv next week, i am worried about the lack of dynamic guide bars.
