Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi there / low Bora...

Evening folks, apparently you have to introduce yourself around here...well I'm Walter, from Ireland currently living in Perth (probably moving to near Brisbane soon though). Back home I have a slight obsession with Volkswagens - I own 5 of them haha. I have a Mk3 Golf (was my first car), Mk2 Polo saloon/coupe, Mk1 Jetta, Mk2 Golf 8v GTI (3 door, Atlas Grey), and what was my daily for the last 5 or so years, my Bora...I don't have pics of the others but here's some of my pride and joy

This is a couple of years back when I had it a little higher and sitting on RH ZW1's, 17 x 9 and 10

And these are more recent, lower and sitting on KW Turbos, 17x 8.5 and 10

Aaaanyway, hi! Hoping to be of help to some people as I have a bit of an obsession with wheels/offsets/ etc (I have 7 sets at home at the moment haha)

That one is back home in Ireland, currently away getting a bit of a makeover - colour change and some other bits... I'm on the hunt for a VW down here but good lord they're expensive compared to Europe! For the likes of a Mk5 GTI you're talking nearly double what you would pay in Ireland!
