Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA Waiting on a Wagon

    Hi
I live in Perth Western Australia and I am waiting on delivery of a new 103TDI Golfwagon comfortline DSG with sportspack and park assist, in deep black pearl.
I ordered it way back in September and it is not due to arrive till late April, over 7 months wait.
I replace my cars every 4-5 years as I use them for business and I knew I would be in for a wait with VW so I ordered it early.
Wagons seem to be hens teeth in WA, I have only seen a couple on the road and every time I see one at Wangara Volkswagen it is gone in a few day's, must be backorders like mine.
Why a wagon? I need the space, pure and simple.
I cannot see many private buyer's waiting over 7 months for delivery, not when the Japanese and Koreans can supply almost straight away with extra low finance deals as well.
Way back in my youth in London I had a 1200cc Beetle which was a great car but lacked space so I got a 412 Variant which gave me all the room I needed.
I will be looking for some guidance on the forum for a front window tint that matches the rear privacy glass and also a aftermarket radio - GPS unit as I just could not justify the $3300 that VW want for the RNS510.
    Regards to all.

    welcome abaord

Waiting suckes eh. By the time you get it, theres a new model released!

The only other option for you to consider is ordering one from an ex East dealer, and getting it delivered in Perth?
