VIC B7 MY11 Passat V6 Wagon Mocca Anthricite

Hi All

I have never been involed in forums before but I like this site. I have been reading various comments over the months since I put my order in for my Passat (July 2011) & I must say that the memebrs on this site are quite obliging & offer some great ideas, suggestions & advice. My car arrived into Melbourne this morning. The dealer says it is 10-12 working days so I am getting pretty excited about getting the keys. I have ordered mine with SatNav, Panoramic sunroof, Driver Visibility Pack, Auto Tailgate, Dynamic Cruise, tint & towbar.

The Sports package wasn't available at the time I ordered & wouldn't have minded the paddles but not a fan of the rims. I am going from a Mazda 6 MPS (great car) which WAS the ultimate in "wolf in sheeps clothing". Now the Passat is probably more so, particulaly given that it is a wagon.

Does anyone know how long it should take for me to pick up the car given it arrived this morning (I work in Port Melb so I actually saw the ship docked). Dealer says 10-12 working days but I don't know why it should take that long.

Which dealer are you getting it from ???

I rang around all metro Melbourne dealers & ended up getting the best price from Sth Yarra. Having said that I have heard some questionable comments regarding this dealership. Comments anyone?

I went to Sth Yarra yesterday to drop off my personalised plates. Car arrived 23/1. They are telling me now that I will have to wait until end of next week! This is after a 7 month wait initially. Bit annoying.

I bought mine from South yarra as well. I think the main guy that does the deal, Jason, was a tad arrogant but my sales guy was quite a nice bloke. He wasn't that pushy and was well mannered. We did buy 2 cars from them on the same day. So, they were a bit nicer, I felt.

Thanks for that. I originally dealt with "Faiyaz" but is always on "leave" so now dealing with Jason. No point insisting on faster turn around. Only a couple more weeks!! Can't wait.
