Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 06 Jetta Turbo DSG and 01 Bora 4mo Driver says hi

    Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm one of the many Tassie VW drivers. My wife has the Jetta, and I've got a Bora 4 motion. Love driving both and they are almost identical in a straight line, but I do prefer the Bora for sound, 4 wheel grip and the 6 speed box. The Jetta is stock (black, cloth, 17" wheels), and the Bora has been lowered and has a decent bluetooth Pioneer unit.

I've previously had a '76 (I think) 4 door Golf LS, Kermit green with wheels and way too low (that was in about 1997) which was in great nic. A MK1 2 door (LS I think) with a gti motor which was a hell of a lot of fun, but had too many cars to keep it. Also had a 2006 MK V TDi Golf we bought new.

Loving being back in a VW and have enjoyed reading this forum. Thought I should say hi.

    Cheers

I'll try and get a few pics over the next couple of days and get them up. They both need a wash and it's my little boy's birthday today.

      Cheers
