Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New to VW

    Hi All,

Im new to the VW seen. My family have all driven performance cars for many years and I wanted one of my own. Im really happy with my 2006 Polo GTI but the only problem i am having is finding performance parts and workshops within australia. Maybe i have not looked enough but I'm here to get in the know!

The 9N3 GTi 16x7.0" OEM rims have a 38mm offset. You can run more - someone has fitted 45mm offset rims with 17x7.5" rims. You'll find loads of tuning info for your car in the 9N(3) subforum so welcome aboard.
