Pretty excited to pick up MY12 132TSI 7DSG in two to three weeks time, meanwhile the wealth of information in this forum will certainly keeping me occupied for a while......

Welcome to the forums mate.
I cannot reccomend enough the Stage 1 tune, especially mated to the DSG box, it turns the car from a nice drive into a seriously fun experience.

yep, definitely consider stage 1 tune (this is how I find this forum in the first place BTW) once I have confirmed the new car is issue free when driven hard.

Oops forgot to do the intro, I currently live in Sydney south, drive a xtrail, and have done heaps of softroading. But now returning back to driving pleasure, hence the Tiguan. Wife wants something comfy and high seating position, hopefully I have made the right recommendation based on her requirement. Almost ended up with a Volvo XC60, luckily the dealer did find us a car in the end.

Tiguan is probably the only car I've bought with minimal research (frankly minimal interest due to small interior space), it was bought in a hurry so we don't end up with a pacific model (old 6 speed, isn't DSG the whole point of buying a VW?). Looking back now I think I have paid too much for the car. Oh well, wife is happy, dealer is certainly thrilled, I guess I should just suck up the loss and enjoy driving the cr8p out if it.

Nah, I entered the z1000 era 30 years too late, had no idea of it's history. Miss it though, it is a pure raw, bouncy and mad missile.
