Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    SA Finally got my first vw mkiv 1.6 golf

    hey guys I'm Anthony, 19 and living in south Australia, I'm new on the VW scene but have loved them all my life. recently bought myself my 99 MKIV 1.6 golf, 5 speed manual, stock as a rock with 128,000kms. have a lot planned for it and hopefully start saving for the real big mods but at the moment I've taken a few notes from the cheap mods section so hopefully ill get my own thread started up

      cheers phaeton, yes i will deff be there to look at and have a chat to some local VW enthusiasts and maybe get some ideas and info

      any tips or suggestions for my golf mate? i have an idea of what i want to do atm but suggestions are greatly appreciated!!
