Hi, just joined. I'm an ex MY04 Forester XT owner, who got converted to VWs by the sales guy. Went to buy a new Foz XT and the Subie dealers wouldnt let me test drive - even though i wanted to buy that day and had an old XT to trade, so left them and drove down the road to a VW dealer who was freindly, not pushy, knew his product and had a car in stock.
So i ended up with a pearl black MY12 132TSI DSG7 Tiguan. Thanks Terry at Klosters Newcastle.
Love it! Not as fast as the Foz, but feels more solid - the old beast had done 300000km. Looking forward to a long and happy 'relationship' with my Tig.
My wife is happy as her first car was a 1600 VW fastback - in black. It really did make the old dakdak noise - and caught fire (with mother in law on board on wedding day!) - apparently an old VW tradition.
Always found Subie forums to be informative and great places to catch the latest info and sort out any problems, so looking forward to chatting with other VW fans.
Oh if anyone wants a well priced, well run-in Forester XT, let me know. It is in great nick and I'll be sad to see it go.
