After a long absence from veedubs I have again joined the family. A 2006 TDI Golf sends my 20 year old Honda into semi-retirement. Really liking this car!!!

Ouch!!! The affair is over,DSG failure, aftermarket extended warranty refusing to pay. $8000 repair bill.

What dealership did you go to?
I would be asking around to see if it is covered under the extended warranty.

Didn't take it to an authorised VW dealer but a VW specialist who sent gearbox to Vic. May now have to get it back together and taken to the local VW dealer on coast to try for goodwill claim.
