Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Re-introduction, now with extra VW!

Saying Hi to everyone on the forums again, been quite a while since my last post.

Lots of craziness since then, uni thesis, finishing uni, and moving from the central coast to campbelltown.

We sold our little Seat Cordoba, "Jose Jalapeno", for a cool $1000 to some bloke from cessnock who wanted "a car with rego that goes". Well, it had rego!

We had a 95 Hyundai Excel, thats come and gone as well.

Still have the 2003 Ford Focus Zetec in the driveway, its feeling a little sorry for itself these days. 100+km peak hour return trip isnt quite cruising das autobahns now is it?

So my girlfriend and I decided to purchase a new friend for the Focus. We test drove a few cars, 06 Focus XR5 Turbo (bit rough around the edges), looked at some others. But I'd had my eye on something with a VR6 ever since we drove a 96 Golf VR6. Man that engine note! Love it!

So we looked around and we bought our very own Bora V6!

    2003 Bora V6 4-motion.
Deep blue (not quite sure which colour name exactly)
    78000kms
    12 months rego
    meticulously service and maintained.

We absolutely love it! The feel! The sound! The performance! The seat warmers!!!

We havent been able to take many photos yet, as Im sure anyone in Sydney knows, the weathers been shocking, especially on Sunday, the day of car washing. Hoping to take some good ones and post them up soon!

Here it is in all its grainy phone-quality photo goodness, our Bora!

    Thanks everyone!
