VW Polo GTI Gear Box problems

Hi, we've had gear box problems since new - five times back to the dealer with the same problem (no reverse gear), they can never find the cause, and claim they are unable to get a replacement gear box from VW Australia. What a terrible company to deal with!

What year model and have you tried other dealers?

Did you want some advise to resolve or wanting to vent about the poor experience you've had? If you're wanting resolve, try other dealers or go to a gear box specialist for advise/input (check out site vendors) and go from there. List the visits (date and who you spoke wth) and if possible get as much in writing as possible in the chance you need to escalate the matter through VW australia or through legal representation. But build your paper trail.
