Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hoping to get my first VW soon

Hi all! I'm looking at getting the current model Jetta 118TSI DSG. Hopefully I become part of the VW family very soon

Quick question... is December a good time to buy a brand new car? Or should I wait til early next year (price wise)?

Just FYI, a dealer offered me the Jetta for the list price drive away yesterday if I picked one that's in stock!! Can it get better than this or should I just take it????

Bit about myself. I am a consultant of sorts from Sydney. 30yo and currently drive a Yaris (yikes!).

The new Jetta is an awesome car,and a massive upgrade from a Yaris...

December is usually a good time to buy a new car,as dealers want to do their figures for the year.

If the dealership has the colour you are after,I say haggle, and go for it...
