I bought the Polo 77TSI for the wife in January and bought myself a Passat 125TDI Wagon in June.

Very happy with both except for the crappy Satnav in the Passat.

The Passat has nearly all the toys, Light package, adaptive cruise, lane assist, auto tailgate, Park assist 2 etc,
seat package and a crappy satnav.
Am a bit perurbed at prospective service costs as a "Free" wheel aligement that had to be done at a different dealer cost $336. ( no cost to me)

Am being very careful not to hit gutters LOL.

Polo 15,000k service is apparently over $400.

Use it just around Brisbane Havent done any trips past Surfers yet.

DPF filter no Havent seen that come on. As its 25k to the shops I give it a burn on the way that should keep it clean, has only done 4000k since I got it in June

Service is about $450 apparently

Have had a funny thing happen 3 times that hasnt shown up as a diagnostic fault.

When braking lightly the footrest and floor has vibrated, once was quite noticeable and did it after lifting my foot and reapplying the brake.
Last time it did it I was about a metre from stopping in a parking space. VW dont know what it could be. I thought ABS but a strange place to feel it.
Also once the binnacle lights in the dash went out except for the backlight on the needles(hands) and came on again. Was in an underground carpark at the time and the headlights were on Auto so they came on but the dash lights didnt.

Passat TDI MY08 query as well

Hi, I have recently purchased a Passat TDI as well. While its not the works its got what I need. I was wanting to get some information regarding the 60K service. The car was being serviced at a dealers, but as the warranty is out I was thinking of going to an Independant, Any recommendations? or if there is a dealer with a happy service.
The place it was being serviced will charge 1200-Say the DSG needs service.

Also the consumption is at 8/9 in the MFD, is that an accurate figure or should I do the old way of Filling up to the brim and then emptying out and the KMs driven?

Cant help with service as mine is 6 months away from its first one.

My consumption has been under 6l per 100k but mine is the BlueMotion one that stops the engine at the lights etc.

Thats what the Av consumption says on the MFD and confirmed by doing it the fill and empty/ks method

No mine is not a blue motion, but still 8-9 seems a bit high to me so thought I would ask. is yours an 08 and if so how many Km

60K service is the DSG service and can get it for around $1k from Jmac or Mike Webber Prestige and Performance. Both should be able to service under warranty as well... my dealer said $1800 for 60K service.

It is a brand new one and done 4000k to date, is a MY11

lol Dont know where I read it was 08 sorry, have made another thread and looking at the servicing thread as well.
