  • WA Soon to be New Tiguan Owner

    Hi Guys,

Just going through the process of buying a Candy White Tiguan 118TSI. We're retiring our Odyssey and downsizing a bit for something a bit safer and fuel efficient. Going to miss the tardis loadspace of the Odyssey but we'll compensate by getting a box trailer for those trips down south when it seems we take half the house. We're getting the absolute base model with the towbar and floor mats being the only add-ons. The Tiguan is only going to be used mainly for toddling around the suburbs as we only clock up about 15K a year on the main car so couldn't justify a AWD 132TSI. Is there any other accessories we should look at getting included prior to finalising any paperwork?

    Cheers

    Welcome Jad.
If you can get it the reverse camera would be a good option from the factory.

Other than that I don't think there is anything else worth getting and i am happy with mine (purchased optionless)

Well the paperwork is all signed. Just waiting on the towbar to make its way via road from over east to WA and then we can take delivery. Apparently the 118TSI has a different towbar as its only rated for 1800Kg max and its not stocked in WA.

Well the towbar has arrived and should be installed tomorrow. Detailing and rego on Thursday and handover on Friday. My rear seat covers have been ordered so the kids can't easily nuke the rear seats and my iPod MDI cable is on its way from the UK. Just got to tee up my trailer and we'll be set.

Edit: Ordered my trailer today, just as well as the mob I'm getting it from close up for Christmas after this Saturday. Picking it up this weekend.

Well picked the car up today. Could not get a blooming cab to save my life being lunchtime and XMas season. Walked from the middle of the Perth CBD to the caryard in 29c heat. Anyway got the dog and pony show and was on my way. For the basic base model it does everything we need. Love the Park Brake & Auto Hold features. Bluetooth intergration is awesome as well. Stop/Start is pretty groovy and I can see how it can save you fuel long term. My VWWatercooled stickers showed up today as well as my express custom order from Ilana seat covers. Pick up our new trailer tomorrow. Pheww lots happening. Will post some picks and further impressions over in the Tiguan forum.
