return to VW ownership

hello all,

I am about to take delivery of a new Touareg TDi180, and after 2 breakdowns in my peugeot, am seriously considering a new golf Gti that is at the dealers. These will be my first watercooled VW. I had an old 1968 type 3 fastback about 15 years ago as my first car. Looking forward to 21st century VW.

Chalk and Cheese. While aircooled cars have a certain charm about them, the creature comforts, performance and reliability of today's vee dubs leaves them far behind.
In my car family, my wife and I have gone from a 71 type 3 fastback (the Super Avocado!) to a MkIII VR6, MkIV Bora 4Motion, MkV 2.0TDI and now a Tiguan. Got my eyes on a MkVI R and I plan to keep myself in dubs for quite some time - warning, they're addictive!
