Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC Fresh in from Canada

    Morning all,

Just moved back after 4 years in Vancouver, Canada.

During my time there i had 4 vw's and was hooked!

    - 2001 GTI VR6
    - 1984 GTI 2L 9A block with solid head ported etc.
    - 1997 Golf auto (gf's)
    - 1983 Rabbit with original leather interior (tear free!)

So ya obviously had to sell the lot when I moved back but yesterday put my deposit down on a Polo 77TSI as a 'entry' car into VW's in Australia.

Looking forward to getting to know some members and checking out their rides! Was previously a member of local VW club dubberz.com (Probationer).

I would love to do something with the polo (dump, some tire stretch/poke, gti bodykit) however its really my missus car after it's paid off so i'll probably look at getting an R in a couple years...although i'm not sure i can survive leaving the Polo stock for that long so we'l see .

One thing i found is the DNA Tuning options so i'll be making a call to them in a couple of months (after she's worn in).
