Hi All, I picked up my second Tiguan last friday (11/11/11) Hope its luckier that the first on (13/5/11). Had a fairly serious accident and wrote it off. After rolling it 3 times I walked away. While getting checked out in hospital I told my husband to ring VW and order me a new one. Police and Ambos said if I had been driving anything else it would have been a different outcome. Thank God for VW.

The safety ratings for the Tig were one of the main reasons i was swayed towards it.


did you end up with a Gen 1 Tiguan?

The safety factor didn't come into it with us, hardly listened to the salesman when he was going thru it. We have always been a Mazda family. I will never have anything else but a VW now. We got the 2012 upgrade. Lots of standard extras eg Bluetooth, day running lights, smaller arial, different grill and rear lights, lumbar support in both front seats. Chrome on dash is changed to a charcoal. Much nicer. Radio is Black and white Blue gone.
