Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi folks,
I recently became an r36 owner after owning a couple of bimmers and am loving this well made car - performance and refinement! Im a convert. Looking forward to checking out the forum!

Welcome to the forum Howdy! I live out in Yass but pretty much travel to Canberra every day so I might spot you. What colour is your R36? Any distinguishing features? I'm fairly new to the forum but have found it very useful when trying to find answers to some VW idiosyncracies. I'm driving a black 06 Jetta TSI with lots of extra chrome including a shiny stainless steel 3" APR catback.

      G'day Hilly,

My r36 is not tricked out at all - stock standard, biscaye blue. Best car I've ever owned. Was a into bimmers but in terms if bang for buck this car has it all - refinement, performance and yet still a practical family car to boot.

I'll keep a look out for your Jetta - sounds hard to miss!

You must come in down the Barton highway and on to northbourne in the mornings so I'll keep my eyes peeled

      Cheers
      Duke

R36s are amazing, that or an mk4 R32, next on the list!

G'day governor - I'm north side too. Will try and get some shots up in next little bit.

R36 not quite as torquey as my older bimmer v8 but its quicker and the handling is superb. Ride comfort not bad either but we are spoiled here with our roads. R36s love roundabouts too

You have shots of your ride?

            Florentonio - yes I'd take a r32 as well!
