Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster although I am involved on other forums. Just wanted to announce the recent arrival of my new MK6 GTI Edition 35 in CW. Its fitted with DSG and otherwise stock, I recently had the 18inch Watkins Glen rims painted gloss black and the front windows tint matched to the rears. Other than that its still quite original, I'm considering the APR Carbonio intake stage 1 & 2 in near future. Love the car and cant stop thinking about it, the KO4 turbo is fantastic and an unbelievable contrast to my old MK5. Will try to get some pics up soon.

    Cheers,
    Matt

Hi Matt, great news on the ED35. I'll have to keep an eye out for low flying objects around the inner west!

Dont forget to post a pic or two of it with the painted wheels~

      Thanks goodfella,
Sounds like you have an interesting ride there too, I always wanted a 4 Motion Bora but couldn't afford it back in the day. I'm interested in your Bilsteins too, how do you find them? Hope to see you around, cheers!

The Biltseins and R32 coils make a great package, compliant enough to soak up all the road bumps and grinds, yet capable when driven spiritedly. I know there is a lot better available, but too firm and the kids in the back will start to complain or snap necks

Vaku, I haven't fully got my head around posting pics but this is a link to my album on another forum...
The rims came up quite well in my opinion, much better than the original finish which looked kinda bland. So you've got an Addidas? You local too?

Goodfella, exactly my issue too - the kids in the back. I'd love to go lower back I cant afford to sacrifice any ride comfort at all really, i'm interested in adjustable coilovers but I need a lot more advice before I spend any cash.

              Matto

I also have a CW Ed 35 - standard except I tinted the front windows to match. Have only just achieved 1000 kms.

Great car - I haven't seen another around yet - love the sound
