    Hey All,

Expat Victorian living in Brisbane. Don't yet have a VW, but am in the market for a new car. The Tiguan being my preferred choice. Have been doing a bit research around the internet just working out what I want and all that. Went down to the local VW dealer today for a test drive and an up close look. Just a look and drive today, no wheeling and dealing just. Loved everything about it, but was fairly shocked at the ticketed prices.

I drove a 2011 127TSI which pretty much had all the options and was ticketed at $59K, which means the 147 would have been well into the 60's. Haven't been to other dealers yet, but is a standard ticket price?

Definitely looking at getting my hands on one in the coming months. Really liked that Wild Cherry colour...

      Welcome toby.
What delaership did you go to?

I picked mine up new for 37k for the 125TSI with car mats and pearl paint.
If you want a new one you pretty much have to order a factory build to get one with no options.

Unfortunately, the dealerships have mostly ordered in fully spec'd ones to get the most money they can so you may have to search on carsales or discountnewcars etc for one that isn't so highly spec'd outside of your local area.

I am certainly interested in some of the options (satnav + leather in particular). The VW website isn't really forth coming with prices which I find a little frustrating.

        My closest dealer is Kippa-Ring.

          Is that Northstar VW?

I have heard Norris do pretty good deals as well.

Best bet is to check out the new car sales sites and if you can't find what you are after, either compromise on price or wait 6 months and get a new one in your spec ordered..
