Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello from sLOVEnia!

My name is Jaka [yaka] (= Jack in English) and I'm from Slovenia, EU.
Since I can remember I have a passion for all VW vehicles. I own a VW Golf: it's a 1995 mk3 2.0 GTI, but unfortunately I had an accident about 4 months ago. It's in pretty bad shape now and I'm not planning to repair it just yet.
So now I'm browsing the Internet adds for mk2 GTI because it's slightly cooler and so far I haven't had any luck.
I'm looking forward to joining your community, because I'm really interested what's going on Down Under and your VW-scene.

Hey Jaka, and welcome to the forum!

Slovenia has got to be one of my favourite places in Europe. I stayed in a little village just out of Ljubljana called Skofja Loka.

Here was the view from the house

        @ Bflat:
        Hello!
Skofja Loka is actually the most preserved medieval town in Slovenia. The majority of the buildings are from the end of the 16th century.
And this picture shows another Slovenian architecture achievement: kozolec (hayrack). It exists exclusively in ethnical territory of Slovenian nation (besides Slovenia you can find it only in some regions of South Austria and East Italy).

        @Calos90:
        Hi!
I hope you'll find another VW soon!

          Welcome Jaka!!!

Slovenia is also one of my fav countries i visited earlier this year! There was so much to do and see and the people were so much friendlier than other places! I esp loved the Saturday markets in Ljubljana!!! One of the highlights of my whole europe trip was visiting Lake Bled and also cycling up to the Vintgar Gorge.

Dont forget to post up when you pick up the replacement golf you are looking for
