Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello, Florida USA newbie here

Hi guys, I'm new here, a gentleman from Victoria referred me to your forum.

I live in South Florida in the USA, I'm a VW TDI enthusiast. I have Golf and Jetta MKIV TDI's and I really enjoy working on them, and inventing new parts that fix some of the most common and expensive problems that they often have.

My wife and I have also made some how-to videos that we've posted on YouTube.

Nice, I don't know if you guys have the same engines, but I'm got ALHs and BEWs in my cars.

We just bought one this week, knew it had a leak at the camshaft, but didn't realize there was more trouble.
