Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • My VR6

Hey guys, signed up a few days ago here, just though I would say hi. Will take pictures another time, here's just a little bit about myself.

Originally had a BMW 325i E30, had many plans for that, but after a long hard think it would of cost me way too much. I always had a soft spot for golfs so I thought why not?! Haha.

I'm only 17, I get my license on the 17th so I'm pretty pumped.

    So yeah hi

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, about 2 weeks ago bought a 95 silver VR6, it sits on Polo GTI rims, has full headers and 2.5'' cat back.

Hope to see some of you at WA meets

Welcome. I was going to get an E30 325i instead of my VR.

Despite you not having your license, what was the 325 like compared to the VR6?

    +1 for pics.

Thanks for the welcome, 325i E30, handles much better due to the rwd an because the nose of the VR6 is heavier but the VR6 pulls much more smoother and faster.

Nah the VR6 was on Gumtree.

I will get my mate with a dlsr to take some nice piccies soon!
