Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD new MK6 GTI owner from Brisbane

    Hi guys

Im Anthony from brissy. I've got myself a CW MK6 GTI for 2 weeks and love it. I've never been a fan of hatch, and probably never will be but i really like this car for what it is.

I originally deposited for a 370z but cancelled at the last minute due to personal reasons that i need a 5 seater car (and no, its not the baby problem, lol). Second choice was the IS350. Its a nice car and all but i almost fell asleep when i was testdriving it, so comfy and quiet, i could barely hear anything from outside.

No hope with jap cars and couldnt bring myself to pay 60k for a Golf R, i went to Austral VW to testdrive the GTI just to kill time on my day off and bought it the same day.

Here are some recent pics of my car. Please let me know what you guys think.

I have several ideas in mind:
          - Drop 20mm with Eibach or VWR
          - Bluefin Stage 1
          - R tail light
          - Gloss black vinyl for the roof

that should be it i reckon
