Looking to get myself into a golf R at some stage in a month or two and have been watching the forum closely. currently driving a Nissan 180sx which is definitely a drivers-car but sick of the attention, general disgust from the public and the expectation of every P plater to run them off the lights or rip a skid. while deceptively spacious (thanks to the hatchback) its still not as big as Id like for moving music gear around and its at the age now (14 years) where problems start rolling into each other one after the other.
never thought i would get away from Jap cars as thats all my dad has ever taught me but the VW does what I want, flies under the radar (compared to an STI) and is nicer inside to boot. still need to get into both and really give them a good going over but the DSG is pulling me towards the golf.
