  • New Tiguan Melbourne

Hi all, signed the papers on a new Tiguan last weekend. Pick it up later this week and cant wait! I bought the 125, manual with comfort pack in candy white. I have literally spent every night since the purchase on this web site learning about my car and the options available to me.
The APR stage 1 will be getting done in a fortnight and the RNS510 is on the way from our Lithuanian friend on e-bay.
I look forward to sharing updates on the car!
    thank you,
    DD

    Welcome mate.
Good to see another 125 owner in the ranks.

Sounds like you got a nice one too without many options so you can build it up to how you want it.
The Stage 1 ecu remap will make the car shine!

Thanks mate, I was originally looking at a second hand 2010 with a few more options ( and kms!) but with the runout sales on at the moment the brand new 125 with comfort pack and mats for $34,000 seemed too good to pass up!
Will add pics as the car progresses.

That is a pretty bargain price.
I picked mine up for 37k drive away for a 125 with mats and pearl paint last year.

I saw the APR is the same for Tig 125 and 147, is that mean when u upgrade either model u end up with the same HP?

Yes, they both use the same engine as the Mk6 GTI (Ea88 so they both bump up to 189kw with a tune.
The 125 is detuned from the factory, otherwise it is the same mechanicals as the 147.

then issit worth paying extra for 147 instead of 125 if you plan to chip it? wife starts eye-ing on a Tig, hence I'm asking...

the 147 comes with extras over the 125 and some of the options are also cheaper so it depends if you want a specced up 125 or a near basic 125.
