Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hey all im tess and i just got myself a little 94 golf GL 2L, i recently had to sell my rx7 so since i work for a VW dealership the golf caught my eye and since i couldnt find me a vr6 this little golf has done justice! lol
So far it only has minor things done like. Hot tuning coilovers, unfinished lukey exhaust, kinda wheels and ahh smoked indicators LOL (my first buy). I am chasing some vr6 front seats or some aftermarket seats as mine suck
Also any ideas on a clutch? i dont want standard nor high performance, something in the middle haha..

If you want to attend a VW event Next Sunday the 11th Sept is VW Action Day at Wynnum Grandstand Park on the Waterfront. Pop on down check out the events tab in the forums. Would be great to see you there, and re-visit Glynns old car. May I suggest dropping the car on its nuts.

The E30 bottlecaps are cool I thought. Welcome and nice car, it used to have my cars old bonnet on it (the rusted one). Hope Glynn is sticking with VWs.

Get along to a meet, it's a good crowd.

I went for a Sachs clutch kit (standard spec) two years ago and it's a lot better than the previous LuK one that was in it. I eventually put in a Eurospec lightened flywheel in it (half a year ago) and it goes well! I'm parting out my Mk3 at the moment so if you're interested, let me know.
