Hi everyone!!!
I've recently bought my FIRST Volkswagen ever! I'm proud to say that I am the new owner of a Golf 118tsi DSG with the factory sports pack and leather and so far I love it. Mine is Reflex Silver and looks wicked, especially now I have the windows tinted as dark as legally possible it's finished it off brilliantly
So far I have to say that making the decision to 1. buy a brand new car and 2. buy a Volkswagen has been the best decision I have ever made. . .
It really was an easy choice though, especially after test driving a few other brands it was easy to narrow it down to the Golf... Yeah I may have paid more for it than I would have for a Mazda 3 or Hyundai i30 but there's no comparison between them! I was blown away at how quiet the Golf is, how smooth the ride is, even with the 17" alloys and the punch off the start certainly helped sway my partner. Obviously the quality was teh big seller, the Golf was just miles ahead in terms of comfort, quality and design and I couldn't be happier. I'll never go back to Japanese cars again!
I bought mine from 'Nepean Motor Group' out at Penrith and was impressed with the service. I dealt with Michael most the time but the whole team pitched in here and there, getting my partner and I coffee/tea and muffins every time we stopped in during the whole process and never once did they try to push a particular car on me or try the 'hard sell'.
They walked me through the whole process, allowed me to take my time and were never pushy. They followed up with me regularly and believe it or not, they wanted me to be set 100% on the car before selling it to me instead of just signing me up straight away and moving on to the next one. Even the Finance lady I spoke to was friendly and really helpful.
The first time I came in I was still a little unsure, and they actually let me walk away knowing that I would return in a couple days once I made my decision and because of that freedom, the relaxed attitude of the guys out there and how welcome they always made me feel when visiting the dealership, a couple of days... well, it was actually about 2 weeks later, I did return and put my order in!
This is the first brand new car I have ever bought and I must say I am so pleased with the product, the service and the team at Penrith that I'm going to buy a Polo GTI next and pass on my 118 to the missus when it finally arrives! hahaha
Looking forward to sharing stories with everyone on this forum and keeping you updated with my Polo GTI progress once I place the order... Need a bigger deposit first! Also recommend anyone that's looking for a car or not getting the service they deserve from the local dealer, go see Michael or the other guys at Penrith, they were great!
