27 years old. living in melbourne. currently own an xr8 pursuit ute, which ill be selling once i get an MK4 gti. Have left the construction industry, and dont have the need for a ute any more.

Looking forward to buying a GTI in the coming weeks and learning a lot about them.

hey mate similar to me. i changed places in my job & needed something cheaper to run so traded in my VE SS ute for something cheap to run a new 90 TSI. lost money but hey im actually loving the little VW

Can you stretch the budget out to get a Mk 5? For the GTI at least, the Mk 5 is a big step up over the Mk 4 and well worth the extra $.

looking to spent around the 10-11 K mark, so an MK5 isnt really in that range unless its a base model. if i wasnt saving for a house, id buy an r32

nah dont miss tray at all, all i miss is the 302rwkw lol but i find the dub more fun & i feel ive stepped up in quality

Considered a Polo GTI? Same engine and arguably a better package for similar money.

just put a deposit down on an '02 GTI in satin silver... pick it up this weekend coming. cant wait.
