Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello

    Hi there,

Just recently upgraded from a EG Civic to a R32 and still getting used to tall these post 2000 gadgets... I still love my Civic to bits, but thought it was time for an upgrade to something with some airbags and aircon!

    R32 Golf - YouTube

Just a small video the day I got it. The plates will be surrendered once I change rego to ACT, but if anyone is interested in them let me know as I'm sure we can work something out. I'm not sure how the whole process works.

    A little about me:

Cars are not my life. I appreciate them, but you won't see me at cruises or meets. However, you can most likely find me at a gym

I recently put a set of CS3's on them as the old CS2's were running low. Other than that, it runs well I guess. I also love the car too much to park it anywhere except next to a kerb far away from any other car...It happened with my Civic as well! Maybe I suffer from OCD.

Next to do is do a service so it's up to date and gives me ease of mind, then it's probably a bit of saving coming up to Summer and will end up getting a set of coils or upgrading the stereo to the Alpine double din touch screen.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on your new purchase and love the colour...I purchased mine just over a month ago, but in black in the end....looked at your colour one at the VW Garage mascot, but pre-sale inspection showed it had all panels re-aligned, re-painted, and service history was stamped in the book but garage had no record of it being serviced!

Anyway....you wont be disappointed, mine was supposed to stay standard (just removed from BBS CH for original Zolders), but dont think its going to last long

Thanks mate. Would have loved black to be honest not matter how dirty they get, but I guess grey is okay.

You looked at the one I actually own or another one in grey?
