G'day all,
Earlier this week I purchased a 2001 Bora V6 4Motion 6Sp Manual, which is my first VW. To be honest, I wasn't really looking for one of these but stumbled across it for what I thought was a good price. To date, my previous cars have been:
The Bora has two mods that I am aware of:
There are a few issues with the car though, although I did allocate some money aside (in my mind) to fix them when negotiating the price. They are:
The first two are an easy fix but I'm still working out the exact problem with the ABS. Best case scenario, it'll be fixed under the factory recall. Worst case I could be up for $$$ for a new module. Here's hoping it's something small. In the mean time, I've pulled the ABS fuse and will live without ABS or ESP for the time being. Not the end of the world.

- 1994 Ford Falcon Gli Auto
- 2005 Toyota Corolla Ascent Man
- 2002 Ford Falcon XR6 ST Man
- 2008 Ford Falcon XR6 Man
The Bora has two mods that I am aware of:
- Lowered H&R springs
- Koni 'Yellow' Shocks
There are a few issues with the car though, although I did allocate some money aside (in my mind) to fix them when negotiating the price. They are:
- Broken bonnet gas strut
- Driver's side power window regulator (it still works but is very noisy)
- Malfunctioning ABS
