Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi from DonDubber

    Hi fellow VAG enthusiasts.

About time I joined VWW, I've been visiting the site for the past 12 months on and off.

VWW members provide great info and advice on all things VAG, which has been really helpful in guiding me towards my current VW Golf VI wagon, 2.0 TDI, Candy White, comfortline (DSG).

My first diesel ever, and very impressive, especially for highway use.

Car has done just over 12,000km in last 12 months, with no problems at all. Highway fuel consumption generally no more than 5 l/100km, and city use is about 6.5 l/100km.

I live in northern Sydney (Mount Colah - north of Hornsby). I've owned a couple of air cooled VWs as first cars back in the mid 1970s, and have long had a leaning towards Audi/VW, and Fiat/Alfa vehicles.
