Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi All,

I have been lucky enough to finally get myself a vehicle after living in Sydney for 2 years and am now the proud owner of a MkV Golf R32 in Black (will get some pics soon) @ 63,000km. I know it's not the newest of cars, but it has now become my pride and joy

Drove so many cars before getting into an R32 and fell in love straight away, the sound, the feel, the drive...just awesome.

Anyway, don't want to freak everyone out with my fondness of my car (I haven't named her yet!)

My aim, probably weird to some, is to modify, but with as much OEM stuff as possible, such as Sat-nav, rear-view camera, homelink visor, seat drawers, fog lights, etc. But then change the hidden stuff, uprate mounts, Full exhaust (no louder - I want to keep the same sound!), air intake, programmable ECU. The car came with original BBS CH 18" alloys in black, but also got him to throw in the original Zolders, which I have now fitted.

Great to see a good scene for this over here! Hope to get to know you guys

    Over and out

Will get some pics this weekend...be sure these will count as a before pics! I have had no time (or money) to do anything to the car yet

Needs a big detail and want to get the wheels refurbed!
