Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Ground has been broken on the T4 money pit

    G'day all.

    Bit of background.

We lashed out on a 2003 T4 LWB high roof ex-ambulance 2.5 TDi 2wd a few months back at auction. We've spent a wad of cash on it since just getting it roadworthy and getting the trans rebuilt and we're now at the point where it's ready to start on the fitout...nearly...trans being refitted next week.

I'll be putting a Techsafe 2 seater foldup seat in the back as well as a full size double bed with plenty of storage underneath and alongside. Contemplating a deep cycle battery, 12V fridge, inverter and a few other bits and bobs. Should probably do all that before the furniture fitout.

After that...who knows...hopefully progressively driving round the country, starting with Tassie. In the mean time, I'm guessing that I'll have a lot of questions for all the not so newbies here.

    Cheers,

    Dan
