Golf TDi swapped for a Touareg TDi

Hi all,

I'm very new to the VW world and hoping to gain some insider knowledge quickly.

Our first VW a Golf TDi DSG Comfortline with Sports pack, we bought it in March 2011 and we currently have it for sale on Car Sales.com. It's a great car, we just can't get used to how small it is.

On Saturday 23/07 we bought a new Touareg 176 TDi 4 Motion, pick it up Friday 29/07. Very impressive motor car, we couldn't be happier.

Anyway, I'm sure I will learn a lot here and maybe I can add some value too.

Yes it is the new one, we test drove one a fortnight ago and loved it, we worked out what we were looking for pretty quickly but were told it would be a three to six month wait. I don't have that much patience and my wife has less.

So, I rang around and a Brissie Dealer had the car we wanted, even the right colour. He gave us a very good price, substantially less than two other dealers and we grabbed it.

I will take some photo's on the weekend, we are taking it to Hervey Bay for a run, and try posting early next week.

I'll keep an eye out for the gatherings and look forward to attending.

Interesting, they weren't there when i got mine but they would have been the closest dealership for me.
