Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Just picked up a Bora 4mo

    hey guys,

still new to the forum, but I recently made the move from mk4 golf (2.0L sport) to bora 4mo and just LOVE it.

    Some pics:

For a 10yr old car, it feels great. I might get the struts and brakes checked out some stage, but don't have $$$ atm.

Hopefully get some black rims at some stage too. Any good places to check out?

As much as i love the 'doughnut' headrests, they kinda dig into your head. Anywhere I'd be able to swap them for the '03 styled ones ?

Also, when I try reversing and do a sharp turn, the car does a weird judder noise.... dunno if that's the 4mo on a steering lock??

    thanks 4 feedback

      Welcome to the Bora club.
Wheels depends on how much you have to spend.
The headrest are a bit of a pain, but i just live with them now...

Keep the standard VW alloys, they are one of the nicest designs, and suit the car to a tee.

Black wheels look like the hubcaps have been stolen, and cheapen the looks of the car...

As above, the black wheels can look average/small
          but then again...

I don't know. I think red/black combo could work. Dylan: where did u get those ? They look like 17 or 18" ? Did you get them together? How much are we looking at ?
