Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys,


    So here's my first Thread, I live in South Africa, n been Vdubbn' for about a year n a half now, last yeah I got my first car and VW, I got a green 1.6 carb Mk1 Golf Chico, which was in it's chops, so i sold that and got a White/red 1.3 carb Mk1
    Golf, I ended up selling it cws i would fall asleep before i hit 100kmh, so i got a 1.4i Mk1 Golf Velociti which was nice and nippy but i found out it had been in a accident so i somehow sold that and was a proud owner of a White 1.8i Mk1 Golf

    I had that for the remainder of 2010/ beginning of 2011 then i got myself a Polo 9n3 1.9 TDI sportline which i got in April
    2011, and have been doing alot of small mods which include: BBS RS Step-dish Replicas, LaminX'd the Head lights,
    Tail-lights,and fogs to yellow (after experimenting with diff. colours lol), honey comb'd the front, HID kit 6000k, changed
    all the interior lighting and rear number plate bulbs to white LEDS, and a sound install which includes 2x lightning audio strike split systems, 6x9's, also sprayed my callipers red, lol, DIY, goda love it!
    Starsound 3500w DVC woofer a 1800w Targa Amp and a 3000w Targa Baby Brat Monoblock,

    When I went through the green fog stage lol and had the Jap Wheels



    LaminX'd Headlights and fogs yellow

    So since my last post, i Wraped my front badge in Carbon Vinyl, blacked out my bumper center with matt black vinyl and got a STO-Chip
    Tuning software upgrade, Stage1 atm, haven't dynoed her yet but the guy who did it sed i can expect between 120-125 kw atf and
    roughly 395nm Will post the sheet as soon as i get it

        Update

        Wow,


        So it's been a year since I posted this,


        Below just a few pics of how the Polo is looking from then to present,

        Had the wheels sprayed a Brown/Bronze colour and dropped On JOM (Bang for buck)coilovers,

        Got the GTI headlights for a cleaner look,












        Then I got the new wheels which I currently have on atm,
