  • QLD Hello all!

    Hi Guys,

I'm just about to make the foray into the world of VW. With my parents driving latest gen Golf and Polo's I figured it's time to get out of the japanese rat race and try a 1999 Polo myself. Looking to pick it up this weekend all going well.

Any ideas on reputable service agents/mechs around Brisbane? I'd like to get the timing belt done done straight up as the car hasn't yet had it done at 100,000kmish

    Cheers,

    Steve

Jimmy is a top bloke for servicing nad is a member on the forums here.

Mike Weber also runs Prestige and Performance at Coorparoo so i use them as it is close to my work.

Hopefully we can get you to the Euro meet this friday if you have the car.

Thanks all. I've corresponded by text message with Jimmy prior to purchasing the car. I'm about to flick him off an email about all the things I THINK need doing on the car to bring it up to scratch before it gets looked at and I need to sit down when I find out there's ten times more

        Cheers,

        Steve

Hey, welcome to the group! I deal with Mike Webber and would recommend him although I have heard good things about Jim.

Hope to catch up with you at one of the QLD events.
