Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hey everyone Im Hakan , Im 19 and I own a Golf mk3 vr6 . Ive had the car for almost a year and ive worked on it a fare bit which was pretty fun . I Lowered the dub on JOM coilovers which is a pretty rough ride but doesnt really bother me . I figured that I bought It with a blown head gasket where the last owner filled the cooling system with a few kilos of red pepper so I riped the head out and got the block flushed, and machined and chemical cleaned the head aswell as replacing the head gasket.

The cars been running much smoother since then until the ignition coil pack decided to **** its self so I decided to convert it into MSD Coils (p/n 8224) which made a massive deference in engine response and fuel economy.

well thats mainly the big stuff i did but i dont want to bore you too much thought u might wanna look at some pics !!

Hakan and i have intro'd dubs to our area, ahaha otherwise it would be "Dub? Wtf is a dub?"

Haks, open a build thread on it bro, with more detail on the work you've done to the engine. Pretty impressive
