  • QLD New Owner 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI :)

    Hi All
Just picked up my GTI on Monday and am loving it! Basically just got off my green Ps so decided it was now time for a turbo and ever since i drove my first GTI probably a month ago I fell in love. Previously had a Lancer so its a nice upgrade...
Im a Uni Student here at QUT, living on the southside. Im not planning on doing massive upgrades to my Golf.... yet.
Already can see heaps of useful info on here so I hope to learn a much as I can for the life of my Golf-ing years

    - 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI
    - DSG
    - 57000km
    - Black
    - Leather

Just thought i chuck some quick snaps up

    Thanks
    Rav

    Welcome Rav.
The MkV platform rocketed Vw into the limelight in Aus.

So much info on the GTI here and yours sounds good.
Hope we can get you to some of our gatherings.

I'm jealous. Always wanted a GTI but couldn't convince the bride. Had a Mini Cooper S for a few years that she like more than me.

Cheers mate, Yeah man keen to attend my first VW meet. Im on the south side, Calamvale to be exact, bought my car from Kenmore so my GITs all QLDer haha!
Yeah silvers a sweet colour, paint the back lower bumper is what i would have done if i bought a silver one, they're easy too keep clean which is sweet. Washed mine for the first time today, wasnt too bad, will get dirty quick tho.

i've got the pirelli so it's colour coded, now i just need to un-colour code some bits to my taste lol...

i'm down at eagleby, i had my first standard gti from springwood and this one from penrith as i saved $6K.

mine needs a good detail... plus i have some minor paint damage and alloy damage from being run off the road...

i believe a few of us might be going for a cruise this weekend (frazza and jon) so keep and eye out, you're more than welcome to join in...

                            This.

But get used to driving it with the 147kw first, then get the tune. 188kw will make it feel like you've bought a brand new car.
