newbie here
Been around dubs for longer than I remember, but time to join the water cooled peoples.
My current drive is a 2011 Polo GTI
Other VW's I own (or at least pay rego on)
Wife - New beetle 2008 TDI
My daily (now retired) 1975 L bug 1916 German Looker
#1 son - 1989 vanagon caravelle
# 2 son - 1997 Golf Mk 3
So I own a VW out of the last 5 decades - I really am HIV(W) positive
I have driven air cooled's for the last 20 years as a company car, but I have reach a time in life where I need to turn up to meetings not smelling of petrol and grease under the finger nails
Sadly my L bug motor locked up the other day and I lost it.
Got it towed to my mates and told him to sort it - I'm over it.
I normally do all the spanner work my self but I am just too busy these days to be splitting cases to get it back on the road straight away
Anyway - rang around to see what was out there - I really liked the new Polo GTI's.
Everyone laughed at me - "you want what?? when??............. gimme money and come back in 9 months"
Anyway - on the 3rd call I came across a cancelled order.
GTI, leather (well whatever) xenon, 510?? stereo and MDI??
I did everything against what I have preached for the last 30 years - buy a new car and buy it straight away
Anyway - it rocks.
I NEED a car for work and I am over pulling jets on the Dellortos at 10.00pm at night when they get blocked.
So - I am sure I will post away and ask lots of questions
