Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

        Thanks
I'm another Gold Coaster - seems to be a few on the forum.
I Have the Highline on order, VW towbar, Canopy, set of draws in rear from TJM. Have some tyres on order as well - General Grabbers AT2's very limited choice in 18" all terrains (So there will be a set of brand new bidgestone or continentials available should any one be interrested) and phone kit. I guess I will look at other options when available.

          Hi winterwhite,
What Canopy did you go with?

I went with the Caddy Canopy - seemed to be the best looking one around with all the options included. i.e. lift up side windows on struts, single access handle at rear, stop lights, work lights and remote locking built in as well. I could not do much better than the VW dealer on price so let VW supply and install at around $3,000.00
