Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Haha love the username.

Congrats on the purchase; looks like VW is stealing alot of the Subaru crowd.

LOL @ username.. used it for ages after seeing a t-shirt that said "If ya see the Police, Warn-a-brother" ...

I grew up in South Africa where VW is huge (obviously), hell, they only just stoped making the Mk1 Golf there (badged as a "Citi Golf") so have owned and driven a few in my time.. I actually learned to drive in a '77 Beetle .. I traded the WRX as I was looking for a car that had a little more boot space as my sedan has a very small boot opening.. after driving the new WRX Hatch (which is very, very nice) and then the R32 (luxurious in comparison) it was a no brainer.. Even though the Rex is quicker, the R32 is nicer to drive..

There are a lot of South Africans here,as we are all mad about our VWs.

I have owned 4 Jettas over the years, what a great car that is...

                Wholey moley, that sounds awesome.

I believe the lambo flap mod is a good option with the exhaust.
Should look into some nice wheels too
