Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC still a VWirgin!

My sister has a Mk4 Golf. My cousin has a Mk5 Golf GTI. I've never had a VW.

    My previous cars were:
    -1992 Nissan 180sx
    -2003 Audi A4 B6 1.8T Quattro S-Line
    -1985 BMW E30 318i
    -1997 Audi A4 B5 1.8T (current but selling)

Although I do like the Audi and BMW marques I've always had a secret fetish for VWs. At the moment I'm considering between (it's a weird choice):

2005 BMW E90 325i vs 2002 VW Bora V6 4motion (which is half the price)

Test drove both last night and I can safely say the latter made me smile while the former made me yawn.

So I'm just happy to hear everyone's opinions on here and maybe go for a cruise with you guys one day if I get the Bora.

    Cheers!

Go for the Bora,it will be more fun to drive, just as good looking, and more reliable in the long run.
