Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey guys,

I've been lurking around here for a month or two now, checking out all the fantastic rides and great information provided by the members here. Decided to join up now that I have just taken delivery of a new Polo 77tsi manual with comfort pack in pepper grey. I am absolutely in love with it.

I have previously been a toyota guy, having had a corolla and an MR2, but my dad runs an Eos as a company car and I have always enjoyed the way it rides and goes (147tsi, Mk5 GTI engine is niiice). Anyway, was finally able to get my hands on something a bit nice after rather unfortunately writing off my MR2. I did initially want to get a polo GTI but wanting a manual and not wanting to wait 12 months I decided that the 77 was the way to go.

And all I can say is that the service I got from Barloworld at Mascot was absolutely top notch as I know that there are also waiting lists through the roof for the tsi polos. The saleswoman worked rather tirelessly for me and was able to get me a car with comfort pack within a month. I tell you what, the car is a step and a half above the Toyota's I have run in the past, so smooth and torquey.

I will post up some pictures once I get home from work and look forward to meeting you guys.

    Cheers.

    Hey mate,
Good to see you've joined the club. I imagine the interior and features are a step up as well, they were for me when I first purchased my Polo GTI but then again I was coming from a 77 Mini Clubman.... Anywho see you round!
