Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Golf V Tdi wheels and exhaust

    Hi,
I've got an Golf V TDI Comfortline and am looking at putting some new wheels and exhaust system.
I really like the r32 wheels but want to know what is the maximum size i can go without having to roll guards?
As for the exhaust was thinking of a cat back system anyone have any recomendations?

    Thanks

GTI and TDI OEM cat back are identical, common misconception the stock GTI is an upgrade. Aftermarket GTI catbacks should fit no problem, they are identical in 42DD as I have a GTI catback ready to go on my TDI. PM Mischa about wheels, he is rather experienced there!

I have a set of Omanyt replica's that will be off the car soon if you want that style.
19" though so it may be a bit big.
